Bored on a saturday!

Bored

Yes you guessed it right. I am bored again as usual. It is raining out side and my roomies are out on different directions meeting up friends / shopping around in some mall. OK I tried watching different movies and all of them suck at this moment (I have to watch my language, I guess I am getting a little Americanised here :0) So what else I can do sitting at home other than making noise on my guitar / flute, have couple of beers, try talking to ppl who appear in my gtalk / yahoo who are busy with their life ignoring my pings. So I am typing things out here, yes it looks like crap :)

I had two things going inside my mind lately on a very serious note. One was anger and the other was competition. OK competition sounded nice to me when I was standing on the row at my school sports day for 200 m heats. I finished 4rth on a group of 7 :). But when the ‘competition’ creeps into your career it is not so nice! No I am not talking that I am scared of competition around my career. But looking ahead, looking at others who had lead the same life, does this competition end anywhere? We are just diving into the life head first to do our best without knowing whats in store for us!
Every day you cannot walk to your office thinking what is goanna make you work harder today other than compelling time lines and smart people around you. I know, I am not the smartest and there are lots of people smarter than me out there. But this is not a ring for boxing match,. Every one has to live! Ok, if you think this is about me, its not. I happened to be a lone worker without much of a competition around. I had my share of things a lot of time back and I guess life will throw out me on things I have to race for every now and then.
( ok I got away for two hours on the movie ‘Erin Brockovich’, got me glued into it , nice one for a bored Saturday and I love Julia Roberts, she is amazing).

OK I was talking about competition here.
Every one around me is competing for some thing or the other. Some are on the race to get a girl, some on getting a few friends and some on getting something else. This is going to stay until we live as there are fewer resources and too many hands. There is the miss world competition, the Idea star singer, the American idol. Every one wants to be the best. In each of them, people take the worst of human feeling of failure and disappointment and market it to the whole world. I guess people do enjoy that also! But there are a group of people which just born to be average in everything! What about them ? I am good at things I do once I got my mind on it. But I have been in the wrong side of a competition also. It doesn’t feel good to be on the other side always. When things are not happening for once it is ok. But if the competition grows to be a life threatening one, it is really a matter we need to look into and plan and accept! This is there in everywhere! Even Sachin Tendulkar has to play well to keep his place in Indian cricket team. He is still competing. He says he enjoys it, but I doubt if he can go on doing that for ever. Never being non guarded, always on guard, what kind of life it would be.

The moment one gets something good in their life, they have to start guarding it, because some one young and vibrant is definitely goanna come after that! I guess once we are born we have to just start running .As it is like you have to run faster than the fastest lion around if you are a deer and you have to run faster than the slowest deer around if you are the lion. One thing I get straight is one has to run fast and keep running in their life until the end! Ok I have get a new pair of shoes.
